When Women Dream Big: An Evening of Connection and Inspiration with Dream Big Darling

Dream Big Rock

Right before Halloween, the rolling hills of Paso Robles provided the perfect, stunning backdrop for an event that reminded everyone in attendance about the incredible power of community; more importantly the power women. Held at the beautiful Epoch Estate Winery on October 23rd, women from across the wine and spirits industry gathered for an intimate evening hosted by Dream Big Darling. The non-profit organization is dedicated to fostering the next generation of female leaders.

The evening began with a exciting atmosphere of “Meaningful Connections.” A wide selection of wines including Epoch Wines and Robert Hall Sparkling were poured. The wine was the perfect fuel for engaging conversation. We were encouraged to mingle and forge authentic connections. This isn’t just “networking,” the goal is to intentionally build a supportive sisterhood where ambition is celebrated not pushed aside.

We were officially welcomed by President and Founder Amanda W. Higgins, who spoke passionately about the organization’s mission to close the gap on female representation in industry leadership. Her words set the stage for one of the most powerful parts of the night: a candid panel discussion. The discussion was moderated by Melodee Crank. The panel treated us to an inspiring exchange of experiences from industry giants: Jordan Fiorentini, Andrea Smalling, Amy Hoopes, and Cynthia Lohr.

As we enjoyed amazing passed bites, the women on the panel shared their honest, often challenging, stories behind their success. The conversation was less about professional titles and more about the grit, resilience, and mentorship required to “move mountains”—a core metaphor for the Dream Big Darling ethos. It was a true connection, demonstrating to everyone in the room that their biggest dreams are not only valid but entirely achievable.

The night concluded on a beautiful moving note with a live performance by acclaimed singer-songwriter Jade Jackson. She brought the entire room to a reflective close, including a powerful performance of her original song, “Dream Big,” which may just become the organization’s anthem. It was a beautiful reminder that our personal journeys and our collective climb are best when shared.
