It seems like only yesterday, that I was asking a college friend “What the heck is a blog?” As she explained it to me, I was baffled. I bought the “Blogging for Dummies” book (remember those? Do they still exist?) and read it and decided to start a blog.
I started writing on Blogger; a free google blog site. I then migrated my posts to Dracaena Wines’ site and almost instantaneously the Blogger site was hacked and started showing nature photos. I tried to get it taken down to no avail.
After winning the prestigious Millesime Blog Award for Wine and Food Pairing, the blog took on a life of its own and I created Exploring the Wine Glass. Now ten years later, it still amazes me that people are interested in what I have to say about wine and honored to remain as a top rated blogger. I am elated to share that I was once again named as a Top 40 California Wine Blog by Feedspot. It is truly incredible to be named among these other prestigious writers.
