As we approach the New Year, I’m sure everyone is sitting down with a glass of wine and reflecting on 2015. I hope that it was a wonderful year filled with much joy. I want to thank everyone who has happened upon my little wine blog here and has supported us throughout the year.
It was a big year for us. Two major things occurred in 2015.  Well, really, they started in 2013, and 2014 but didn’t come to fruition until this year. First, is this website.  Through a lot of trial and error and many hours of research I have created this website. I read books, I watched videos and I may have done some screaming [no maybe about it- lots of screaming]. Technically the website began on December 27th, 2014 [I remember the date because my computer decided to crash on December 26th when I sat down to start the endeavor and I had to go to BestBuy the day after Christmas to buy a new one] I may have resembled this just a bit.

But since I worked on it the entire week off from school and the site went live on January 2, 2015, I can reflect on the website as occurring in 2015 and soon approaching its first year anniversary. I’m not saying this is the best website on the face of the earth, but I am very proud of what I have accomplished considering I knew diddly squat about web design or HTML. Amazing what you can learn with Google and YouTube.

Secondly, and by far the most amazing thing to happen to us in 2015, began way back in 2013 when Mike and I decided to sign a contract for fruit with the West Side Ranch in Paso Robles, but in 2015, we finally have wine to enjoy and to sell. A lot of wonderful things have happened in 2015 for the winery. Our 2015 fruit was harvested from Plummer Vineyards and we moved our winery to a new facility and we couldn’t be happier. We would like to thank everyone who has purchased our wine and have taken time to let us know your thoughts by posting on social media or even writing your own blogs about it. Thank you!

I had originally started my blog using Blogger and the very first post I wrote was called Baby Steps… Big Decisions. I’d like to think my posts have come a long way since then. Writing the blog has allowed me to get back into something I use to enjoy as a kid, simply telling stories. Now they just have a different theme. As we close 2015 with this post, I would have written 120 posts. I can’t believe it! It went from a post once in a while, not really sure what to write about, to a weekly post. That fact baffles my mind.

Anyway, what this post is really about is to reflect upon the top media posts that I tweeted. It is amazing to see what a RT can do and how far across the world it travels.  Thank you to everyone who follows us on Twitter and who have retweeted these pictures.

Between the above pictures, the top two photos were “Just Bringing Some Wine Home for Dinner” [lady rolling wine barrel] and “Keep Them Safe My Friends” [wine bottles with seatbelts.] But the all time most retweeted animation this year was this little guy where I stated, “You are What You Drink.”

So as 2015 closes and we ring in 2016, I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year and share a quote that I found describing the best wish anyone can ever have for you:

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.” – Neil Gaiman
