January is the time of year where many people start to focus on their health. They join gyms, they purchase exercise equipment, they watch their diet….. and statistics show that most people abandon New Year’s resolutions quickly, with figures like 80-88% failing by mid-January (“Quitters’ Day”), 43% by the end of January/early February, and only about 9-25% seeing them through a month. A Columbia University study found that only about 25% stick with their resolutions after 30 days,
With January being the “healthiest” month, I thought it would be interesting to write a piece for the Downtown Wine District about Resveratrol – the “healthy” compound in wine. Plus, it gives me the opportunity to get a little geeky.
