three bottles of Syrah

Syrah Day, celebrated annually on February 16th, is the perfect occasion to raise a glass to this bold and expressive grape variety. To mark the occasion, I shared  three standout Syrahs from Downtown Paso Robles on Your Central Valley.  Known for its rich flavors, deep color, and peppery spice, Syrah thrives in Paso Robles’ varied microclimates, producing wines that range from elegant and silky to powerful and intense.

Wines Tasted:

1- 2020 Calipaso Cellars Reserve Blend 78% syrah, 22% Cab Sauv $50

2- 2022 Alamar Syrah (same district, but not a blend) $54

3- 2018 Indigene Cellars Parenthesis $45
