The Rhône River runs approximately 500 miles beginning in the Swiss Alps and empties into the Mediterranean. During its path, it turns westward and southward, and this is where the Rhône winemaking region begins. During this television segment, I had the pleasure to share three wines from Tablas Creek in Paso Robles. The winery that is responsible for brining Grenache Blanc to the United States and a leader in bringing the Rhône varietals to the forefront.
Although the Rhône Valley is often thought of as being synonymous with red wines, today we are talking about their white varieties.
Special thanks to Jason Haas for sitting down with me and telling me their story and sharing their passion for regenerative farming. Tablas Creek is the first winery in the United States to obtain the Regenerative Organic Certification.
Wines tasted:
2022 Tablas Creek Grenache Blanc
2022 Tablas Creek Esprit Blanc
